This year: Saturday December 4th, 11am – 2pm, hopefully all outside again for as covid-safe as possible.
A now regular feature of the calendar, and indeed previously highlighted in the Shields Gazette as one of the 5 Christmas Markets to head for, this is one of our main fundraising days for the ministry we offer our village and community throughout the year. But more importantly, it’s about being able to support local artists, craftspeople and artisans, and charity work with children in Bethlehem itself.
It was truly amazing to see people queuing for 40 minutes to get in last year, welcome back!
You can stock up on almost anything, from stocking fillers to really beautiful individual gifts, grab a bargain in vintage or something truly unique to keep. There’s usually a lucky dip for the little ones too. Refreshments abound, from winter warmers and luscious cake to mulled wine to get you in the spirit of Christmas. No little German-market style huts (yet?!) but do come along and spend some time browsing, buying, enjoying the atmosphere, listening to some carols and maybe leaving a prayer for your own family for Christmas.
All are welcome – entry is free. Please pick up an invitation to all the Christmas services and begin Christmas with the Parish Church.
